Since I'd never been on a river cruise I decided I needed to take a deep dive into the river cruise industry this year to best assist my clients and attend ASTA River Cruise Expo 2025 in Vienna. This was the best decision I could have made to learn about the river cruise industry. No where else could I have immersed myself in and learned, toured, dined, stayed and cruised on the largest gathering of river cruise boats. I experienced 10 different river cruise lines and 15 different river boats, each with their own characteristics and vibes. Anyone looking into them will find they are expensive. Are they worth it?? Yes, if you break down all the things included in your cruise you will find the answer is YES! The value is evident. First, it is a luxury experience on smaller sized boats with terrific staff that know you personally after day 1. Also included are gourmet meals served with free alcoholic beverages daily, at least one free excursion per port on most, airport transfers and wifi also usually included. Sometimes gratuities and airfare are included also. The invaluable knowledge I gained can help me assist you in finding the best river cruise line and itinerary to meet your desires. There are many different itineraries to attract food and wine enthusiasts, history buffs, action and adventure, music and culture or just a relaxing cruise. There is a saying that goes "Ocean cruises take you to a destination but river cruises take you through them". Giving a more immersive experience.
